Brown House Living History Day

Saturday, October 24, 2015

9:00 am until 4:00pm

Brown House Museum

Admission is free

In November of 1864, General Sherman used the home of Captain William Gainer Brown, CSA as his headquarters during his brief occupation of Sandersville.  The museum features a stellar collection of period furniture and Civil War artifacts.  We will host a living history event featuring many period craftsmen and women.

A unique art exhibit will be on display featuring extraordinary works by local artists telling the stories of persons, places, and events of the Civil War in Washington County.  An annotated guide to the art show is available for $5.
